Maxcure Hospitals Ltd (PVT-EYUB5DQ6) is a Modern 24/7 Multispecialty Tertiary Care Hospital, located at Mega City Mall, Kisumu managed by highly qualified professionals and resident consultants. The hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment, an advanced pathology laboratory, Radiology & Cardiology Diagnostics, Pharmacy, state of the art twin theatres capable of doing Transplant surgeries, physiotherapy department, Intensive Care Unit, Dialysis, Dental and optical services among others.
Maxcure Hospital is the only private Tertiary Care Level 5 Hospital in Nyanza and Western region to provide In Patient & Outpatient care under NHIF Comprehensive Cover. Maxcure Hospital believes in Collaboration and has MOUs signed with major Healthcare service providers in this region.
Since inception, the hospital services have grown tremendously and the hospital currently at 60% occupancy. We are empaneled by major local and international insurance companies.
History
The idea of setting up this hospital started at the time when the founding directors saw a gap in healthcare delivery in Kisumu County. It was observed that progress & growth of quality healthcare providers was stagnating. Despite best efforts by Public Health Institutions, WHO Health goals were falling short of objectives. Availability of quality healthcare while being affordable & timely is an issue plaguing the society in most developing countries.
Kenya has only about 4% of GDP being invested in healthcare, this added to a significant shortage of Specialized Doctors and qualified & trained Healthcare delivery workforce resulting in the widening gap in healthcare delivery. With the challenges being posed by Chronic lifestyle diseases making up a larger share of the disease burden relative to communicable diseases, Cancer & Heart Diseases are on the rise. Looking at all these gaps and opportunities, Mr. Rohan Patel, Managing Director, decided to venture into this project along with his wife Dr Lajja Patel, HOD and a Director of Radiology at the Facility. He also collaborated with other investors Advisors and Directors further. The first Hospital was inaugurated by Hon. H.E. Prof. Anyan’g Nyong’o, Governor of Kisumu & former Minister of Health, on 13th July 2021.
